Astoria Co+op Change for Community Program to Benefit AWC in October

This month, the Astoria Co+op’s Change for Community project will be benefitting the AWC. There are three ways for you to help: round up your purchase total to the nearest dollar in October, bring a bag and donate your reusable bag credit from October through December (in the form of a bean worth 5¢ ), or share your pocket change. The proceeds will go towards keeping the AWC open and providing emergency winter shelter to our community members experiencing homelessness. Our heartfelt thanks to the Astoria Co+op for including the AWC in this wonderful program!

Welcome to Astoria Warming Center

The Astoria Warming Center provides overnight shelter during the winter months for people experiencing homelessness. The overnight shelter is currently closed; we plan to open again November 15, 2019.

From April 5 through November 8, AWC will be open for showers only on Wednesday afternoons from 2:00-4:00 p.m.

From the AWC Board, many thanks to all the wonderful volunteers and staff who made it possible to keep the Warming Center open for 90 nights during the winter of 2018-19!!
