Thank you, donors!

The Warming Center couldn’t exist without our fantastic donors and volunteers. We are very grateful to the many volunteers who kept the overnight shelter running all winter. And we’d especially like to recognize the businesses and organizations that provided major support for the 2016-17 winter season, including:

  • North Coast Food Web for providing hot meals three nights a week
  • Astoria Coffee House & Bistro for providing hot meals three nights a week
  • Columbia River Coffee Roaster for major quantities of coffee and supplies
  • Gifts That Make A Difference for including AWC in the annual December gift fair fundraising event
  • Columbia Bank for including AWC in their annual Warm Hearts fundraising program
  • Ambassadors of the Astoria-Warrenton Area Chamber of Commerce for financial support
  • First United Methodist Church of Astoria for providing a warm space for AWC operations

Let these businesses and organizations know that you appreciate their support for AWC.

Welcome to Astoria Warming Center

The Astoria Warming Center provides overnight shelter during the winter months for people experiencing homelessness. The overnight shelter is currently closed; we plan to open again November 15, 2017.

From April 5 through November 8, AWC will be open for showers only on Wednesday afternoons from 2:00-4:00 p.m.

From the AWC Board, many thanks to all the wonderful volunteers and staff who made it possible to keep the Warming Center open for 105 nights during the winter of 2016-17!!
